Overview
Fulbright draws attention to the fact that certain categories of citizens were prohibited from leaving Ukraine during the legal regime of martial law from crossing the border; the particular circumstances and conditions of crossing the border; the availability and list of consular services; how American educational institutions carry out their work; and the state of health care may all have an impact on your ability to travel to the US and take part in the Program.
Eligibility for Fulbright Graduate Student Program For Ukrainian Students:
- The applicant must be a citizen of Ukraine and be residing there at the time of the competition.
- The candidate's English language proficiency must be adequate for professional communication in an academic setting where the language is spoken.
- The applicant must be at least a bachelor's degree holder when the scholarship is awarded (in August 2025).
- The candidate must fulfil the conditions of the J-1 visa that exchange program participants obtain to return to Ukraine for two years following the conclusion of the grant period.
