Overview
The Fulbright Scholarship is one of the most exclusive and important scholarships offered by the U.S. Government to Georgian academics. The recruitment of candidates for the Fulbright Faculty Development Program is based on an open competition by the Public Affairs Section of the U.S. Embassy in Tbilisi.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Students should have citizenship of Georgia and permanent residence in the country.
- Students need to be eligible for a J-1 visa (with a two-year home-country residence requirement).
- Students must hold a university degree.
- Students should be currently teaching at an institution of higher education.
- Students must have at least two years of teaching experience at an institution of higher education by the time of application
- Students should be able to demonstrate proficiency in oral and written English (selected finalists will be required to take the TOEFL test in October 2023).
Documents required:
- The candidates applying for the Fulbright Faculty Development Program should submit a portfolio.
- The applicants should submit three recommendation letters, copies of diplomas and certificates of higher education, and other additional forms.
Selection Criteria:
- The candidates applying for the Fulbright Faculty Development Program are assessed based on their scientific achievements, plan of training, and willingness to initiate new teaching methods.
- The applicants are evaluated based on the relevance of the project, implementation, and its results, and their ability to cooperate with US and Ukrainian counterparts.
