The Fulbright Ukraine is offering scholarships to nationals of Ukraine to undertake research in the US for six to nine months. The scholarship is open to teachers; graduate students and researchers of 40 years of age with two years of professional experience.

Eligibility:

  • The applicants for Fulbright Faculty Development Program should be Ukrainian citizens and residents.
  • The candidates should teach in a high school with two years of teaching experience or should teach in higher education or should have two years of professional experience.
  • The applicants should have fluency in English for professional communication i.e., TOEFL iBT least 80 points.
  • The candidates should return to Ukraine after the period of grant as per the requirements of a J-1 visa.

Documents required:

  • The candidates applying for the Fulbright Faculty Development Program should submit a portfolio.
  • The applicants should submit three recommendation letters, copies of diplomas and certificates of higher education, and other additional forms.

Selection Criteria:

  • The candidates applying for the Fulbright Faculty Development Program are assessed based on their scientific achievements, plan of training, and willingness to initiate new teaching methods.
  • The applicants are evaluated based on the relevance of the project, implementation and its results, and its ability to cooperate with US and Ukrainian counterparts.

Value of the scholarship:

The recipients of the Fulbright Faculty Development Program get a monthly stipend, medical insurance, ticket in both parties, and additional funds.
