Freshmen Scholarship at Fort Hays State University 2026:

The FHSU Freshmen Scholarship is a merit-based award offered by Fort Hays State University to eligible first-time undergraduate students who demonstrate strong academic achievement. It is designed to help reduce the cost of tuition for incoming freshmen beginning their bachelor's degree studies at FHSU. The scholarship amount is determined based on the student's academic qualifications, including their high school GPA and qualifying ACT or SAT score. Recipients may renew the scholarship for up to four years, or eight consecutive semesters, provided they remain enrolled full-time, maintain the required academic performance, and continue to meet all other renewal conditions established by the university.

• Applicant will be automatically considered for the scholarship if they meet the eligibility criteria.

Value of the Scholarship:

• USD 1,500–USD 3,750 per year is awarded to the recipient.
• The scholarship can be renewed for up to three additional years, provided the recipient continues to meet the eligibility and renewal requirements.

Notes:

• A first-time freshman is defined as a student who has not attended another school after graduating directly from high school. Fort Hays State University must be the first university at which the student registers.
• An ACT/SAT score is not required for admission as an international student; however, it is required to qualify for this scholarship.
