Frederick Walters Physics & Astronomy Scholarship is awarded to support undergraduates (juniors/seniors) and graduates (Masters/MFA) in the Department of Physics & Astronomy who demonstrate outstanding academic merit and financial need.
Eligibility criteria:
- Open to all nationals
- The minimum GPA requirements are 3.0 for undergraduates and 3.3 for graduate students.
- Applicants must be enrolled in Undergraduate or master's level studies majoring in Physics & Astronomy.
- Undergraduate students must be enrolled in at least 9 units, while graduate students must be enrolled in at least 3 units.
Value: $6,000.00
Application requirements:
- Must submit an essay (250-750 words) addressing your career goals, how the scholarship will support them, your financial need, your involvement in research or extracurricular activities, and any challenges you've faced and lessons learned.
- Provide one letter of recommendation from a college instructor in your major and a second letter from someone familiar with your research or leadership activities.
- Upload all college transcripts (unofficial transcripts are acceptable).
