Foreign Scholarship for Study Abroad – Maharashtra Government
The Higher & Technical Education Department, Government of Maharashtra, offers the Foreign Scholarship for Higher Education Abroad to support meritorious students pursuing postgraduate and doctoral studies overseas. Launched in the academic year 2018–19, this prestigious Maharashtra government scholarship enables deserving students to access world-class education at international universities.

Eligibility Criteria -

Applicants must:

• Be a citizen of India and a domicile of Maharashtra (student and parent/guardian).
• Belongs to the Open Category.
• Have secured a minimum 55% marks in:
  • Bachelor’s degree (for Master’s applicants)
  • Postgraduate degree/diploma (for Ph.D. applicants)
• Be admitted to a foreign university ranked within the top 200 in the latest QS World Rankings.
• Possess an Unconditional Offer Letter from the university.
• Have an annual family income below ₹8 lakhs.
• Meet age criteria:
  • Maximum 35 years (Master’s)
  • Maximum 40 years (Ph.D.) as on 1st July of the admission year.
