Fisher Trumpet Scholarship at Victoria University of Wellington
The Fisher Trumpet Scholarship, generously funded by Charlotte Fisher, supports undergraduate music students at NZSM, Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington, who demonstrate excellence in trumpet performance. Recipients receive NZD 3,000 and a trumpet from NZSM for use during their studies.
Eligibility Criteria of Fisher Trumpet Scholarship:
- Applicants must be enrolling full-time as undergraduate music students in their first or second year of a Bachelor of Music, specialising in trumpet.
- Preference may be given to students focusing on Jazz and contemporary performance.
Selection Criteria: This scholarship is open to full-time undergraduate music students going into their first or second year of a Bachelor of Music specialising in the trumpet. Selection for this scholarship is based on the musical excellence of the student.
Application Process: A completed online application must be submitted on the closing date. Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted.
Award: NZD 3,000.
Note:
- The recipient of this scholarship shall be provided with a trumpet to enhance the scholarship holder's performance.
- The recipient will be expected to demonstrate engagement and contribute to the community and environment of the New Zealand School of Music. This may include but is not limited to, participation in ensembles, presentations, or performances at NZSM or university events.
