Fisher Trumpet Scholarship
The Fisher Trumpet Scholarship is generously funded by Charlotte Fisher, and it supports undergraduate music students at NZSM, Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington, who demonstrate excellence in trumpet performance. Recipients receive NZD 3,000 and a trumpet from NZSM for use during their studies.
Eligibility Criteria for the Fisher Trumpet Scholarship:
- Applicants must be enrolling full-time as undergraduate music students.
- Applicants must be going into their first or second year of a Bachelor of Music specialising in the trumpet.
- Preference may be given to students focusing on Jazz and contemporary performance.
- It is awarded based on the musical excellence of the student.

- Applicants must submit an online application form by 4.30 pm on the closing date.
- Any required supporting documentation (including references) must also be received by 4.30 pm on the closing date for the application to be considered.
- Applicants must submit A personal statement outlining reasons for applying for the scholarship.
- Applicants must submit A letter of support from a music teacher or tutor (to be requested via the online application).
- The recipients are selected by the Director of the New Zealand School of Music (or their nominee) in consultation with the School of Music Scholarships Committee as appropriate.
