First Nations Scholarship at University of Southern Queensland 2025-26

First Nations Scholarship at University of Southern Queensland:

The First Nations Scholarship, supported by donors to the University’s First Nations Scholarship Endowment Fund, will support one Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander student commencing their first year of a bachelor’s degree at University of Southern Queensland in 2026.

Eligibility Criteria:

1. The applicant should be a domestic student currently residing in Australia.
2. The applicant should be a commencing student intending to enrol full-time in a bachelor's degree program in Trimester 1 2026.
3. The applicant should have an income at or below the financial threshold limits.

Selection Criteria: 

1. Answer each personal statement question (max 250 words each): experiences/influences driving your passion, and career goals/impact.
2. Provide evidence of being an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander.
3. Provide academic achievement (final year school report card or post-secondary transcript).
4. Provide proof of current financial circumstances.

Application Process: Application must be made via the UniSQ Scholarships Online Application Management System.

Award: A maximum value of $4000 to be paid in one instalment.

Deadline: Monday 19 January 2026 at 11:59pm (AEST)

Note: If an applicant holds other UniSQ awarded scholarships, this may be taken into consideration in selection. There are some scholarships that cannot be held together.
