Estranged Student Bursary

Eligibility criteria -

  • The applicant must be an UK undergraduate student paying tuition fees of at least £6,000.
  • They have been assessed as independent due to estrangement by Student Finance.
  • They are 24 years old or under on 1st September 2026.
  • If eligible, the Estranged Student Bursary is available for each level of study.

Application process -

  • The applicant must surpass all the additional requirements the University sets for admission.

Award - A non-repayable £1,500 cash bursary may be available if you are estranged from your family. This bursary also includes support towards accommodation costs (where relevant).
