The Environmental Stewardship Award supports Okanagan College students who demonstrate a strong commitment to environmental stewardship through community service, sustainability projects, or related activities.

Eligibility Criteria for the Environmental Stewardship Award at Okanagan College 2026:

  • Applicant must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or protected person.
  • Applicant must have completed at least one year of study in any degree or diploma programme at the Kelowna, Penticton, or Vernon Campus and be returning the following semester for subsequent full-time study.
  • Applicant must be returning in a minimum 60% course load, or 40% course load for students with permanent, persistent, or prolonged disabilities, in any degree or diploma programme at the Kelowna, Penticton, or Vernon Campus.
  • Applicant must demonstrate environmental stewardship through community service, environmental sustainability projects with Okanagan College activities or clubs, or involvement with external service organisations.
  • Applicant must demonstrate environmental stewardship and financial need, with emphasis on environmental stewardship.
  • Applicant must be in good standing.

  • The recipient is selected by the OC-Wide and Kelowna Awards Selection Committee.
