Overview

The Engineering Futures Scholarship is designed to support undergraduate students who are experiencing financial hardship and wish to pursue studies in engineering at the University of Queensland (UQ). Established in 2023, this scholarship program aims to provide financial assistance to deserving students and encourage them to excel in their engineering studies.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Applicants must be domestic students.
  • Applicants must demonstrate financial hardship.
  • Applicants must be commencing students and are enrolled full-time in:
    • Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) or
    • Bachelor of Engineering (Honours)/ Master of Engineering or
    • dual engineering program
  • Applicants do not hold another scholarship that the Associate Dean considers to be similar.

Value of the Scholarship:

The scholarship provides financial support of up to AUD 30,000.

Application Process:

Apply using the UQ application portal and provide:

  • resume
  • cover letter
  • a copy of your recent Year 12 report
  • demonstrated financial hardship (i.e. Centrelink statement, ATO notice, payslips, etc.)
