Engineering Futures Scholarship at The University of Queensland 2024

The Engineering Futures Scholarship is designed to support undergraduate students who are experiencing financial hardship and wish to pursue studies in engineering at The University of Queensland (UQ). Established in 2023, this scholarship program aims to provide financial assistance to deserving students and encourage them to excel in their engineering studies.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Applicants must be domestic students, including Australian citizens, New Zealand citizens, Australian permanent residents, or holders of Australian permanent humanitarian visas.
• Applicants must be enrolled full-time in the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours), Bachelor of Engineering (Honours)/Master of Engineering, or a dual engineering program at UQ.
• Demonstrated financial hardship is a requirement for eligibility.
• Applicants must not hold another scholarship that the Associate Dean considers to be similar.

Value of the Scholarship :

• The scholarship provides financial support of up to AUD 30,000.
• The value and number of scholarships awarded each year are determined by the Associate Dean and are limited to the annual income from the fund.
• Recipients may hold other scholarships concurrently, provided that the total combined value of all UQ scholarships does not exceed AUD 30,000 per year.
• The scholarship is tenable for the duration of the recipient's studies, subject to maintaining full-time enrollment and satisfactory academic progress.

Application Process:

• Eligible applicants should apply using the UQ application portal.
• Required documents include a cover letter, resume, and a copy of the applicant's most recent studies report from mySI-net.
• Shortlisted applicants may be contacted for an interview.
• The scholarship offers will be made between January and February 2024, and only successful applicants will be notified of the outcome.

Applications open on 13 January 2024 and close on 3 March 2024.
