Elizabeth Ducey Scholarship at Portland State University 2025

The Elizabeth Ducey Scholarship is provided by Portland State University to students who have enrolled themselves in a bachelor's program at the University.

Eligibility criteria for the Elizabeth Ducey Scholarship:

• Be a full‑time student at Portland State University (or accepted for full‑time enrollment).
  Be enrolled and making satisfactory progress in Arabic, Persian, or Hebrew.
  Have a course history related to Middle East, North Africa, and/or South Asia (from any department).
  Demonstrate academic excellence and financial need.

Value of the Elizabeth Ducey Scholarship:

$600 (paid toward tuition and fees).

Application Process:

Applicants must submit the following:

• MESC Scholarship Application Form (Middle East Studies Center form).
  
• 350‑word typed statement of purpose addressing past/present experience with Middle East Studies, plans for future studies, and how the scholarship would support goals.
  
• Unofficial PSU transcript.
  
• One letter of recommendation from a faculty member, academic advisor, or someone who can speak to the student’s experience with Middle East Studies.
