These esteemed scholarships are given in remembrance of the horrific incidents that befell the honours students and the Department of Econometrics and Business Statistics in October 2002. The faculty has been able to grant these scholarships because of a significant fundraising drive that the Department of Econometrics and Business Statistics, as well as its alumni, initiated. Additional donations have also been made.

Eligibility for Econometrics Honours Memorial Scholarship:

Applicants may come from any nationality.
Applicants must exhibit good academic standing.
Applicants must be enrolled full-time in the Bachelor of Commerce honours programme.
Applicants must choose a specialization in actuarial studies, business analytics, or econometrics.

Value of the Econometrics Honours Memorial Scholarship:

The successful candidates are awarded a scholarship worth up to AUD 15,000 for one year.
