East Gippsland Medical Scholarship
The donor-supported East Gippsland Medical Scholarship has been established to recognize students studying medicine who have demonstrated a commitment to health in the Wellington and East Gippsland Shire. 

Eligibility criteria -

• The applicant must be an Australian citizen or a New Zealand citizen with an Australian permanent resident or an Australian humanitarian visa holder
• A current student enrolled or intending to enrol in an undergraduate or postgraduate degree in the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences at a Monash campus in Australia.
• A year 4C medical student enrolled in the Bachelor of Medical Science and Doctor of Medicine who are from, or have resided in, the Wellington or East Gippsland Shire.
• Demonstrated commitment to health in the Wellington and East Gippsland Shire, as shown through preferencing rural placements in the Wellington or East Gippsland region for at least one semester of Year 4C and intention to preference the region for at least half of Year 5D.
• Experiencing financial hardship and must maintain a Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 60 each semester.

Application process -

• The applicants must also surpass all the requirements set by the university.

Award - up to $6000 per annum for a maximum of two years.
