Overview

ASEM-DUO is offering Belgium/Flanders Fellowship Programme with the aim of promoting exchanges of students between Belgium/Flanders and 4 Asian countries (China, India, South Korea, and Vietnam) on a permanent and balanced basis.

Eligibility for DUO-Belgium/Flanders Fellowship Programme 2022:

  • The home institution in Belgium/Flanders and the host institution in Asia should have established an academic cooperative agreement.
  • The institutions, both Flemish higher education institutions, and Asian partners should not expect the tuition fees for the exchanges
  • The applicant of any nationality enrolled at Flemish Higher Education Institution is considered a Flemish student.
  • The applicant of any nationality enrolled at an Asian host institution is accepted by the Flemish home institution.
  • The student applying for the exchange should not have stayed in Belgium/Flanders before.

Documents Required:

  • Applicants must submit the completed online application form.
  • Applicant must submit a copy of the Cooperation Agreement between the home and host institutions.
  • A copy of the passport of the applicants by uploading to the website with scanned files.
  • A motivation letter should be submitted in a maximum of 2 pages in A4.

Value of DUO-Belgium/Flanders Fellowship Programme 2022:

  • The amount of the grant awarded to the pair of professors is a fixed amount of 5,000€ to be shared between the two professors according to a distribution key agreed in the convention.
