The Dr. Gary McPherson Leadership Scholarship recognises students who demonstrate outstanding leadership, particularly in the area of disability, and/or take initiative to improve the lives and circumstances of others. The scholarship supports full-time students enrolled in career programs at NorQuest College.

Eligibility Criteria for the Dr. Gary McPherson Leadership Scholarship at NorQuest College 2027:

  • Applicant must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or protected person residing in Alberta.
  • Applicant must be enrolled as a full-time student in a career program at NorQuest College.
  • Applicant must demonstrate outstanding leadership, particularly in the area of disability, and/or initiative to improve the lives of others while attending post-secondary studies in Alberta.
  • Applicant must demonstrate satisfactory academic standing.
  • Applicant must submit a résumé highlighting leadership involvement and extracurricular activities related to improving the lives of others.
  • Applicant must submit an essay of up to 1,000 words describing their leadership experience and/or initiatives to improve the lives of others.
  • Applicant must provide a letter of reference from someone who can attest to their leadership involvement and extracurricular activities related to improving the lives of others.
