Overview

The Dickson Poon School of Law is pleased to offer up to five exceptionally generous Law PhD scholarships as part of the Dickson Poon Postgraduate Law Research Student Scholarship Programme. This remarkable scholarship programme recognises and is made possible by the generosity and support of the Hong Kong-based businessman and philanthropist, Dr Dickson Poon CBE.

Each scholarship covers the cost of fees (home/EU or overseas) and a stipend of £20,000 per annum, subject to satisfactory progress.  The stipend is intended as a reasonable contribution to the student’s annual living expenses while living and studying in London.  Your fees are paid by the college and you will receive your stipend as 12 monthly payments each year.

Eligibility:

Home, EU and International students are eligible to apply for the scholarship. In previous years applicants to the programme have been exceptional and we expect successful candidates to be able to prove academic success in their undergraduate and postgraduate degrees and potential for continued excellence in the future. Applicants must hold a minimum of a Master’s degree (UK or UK equivalent) in a relevant field.

Duration of award(s): Your fees are paid by the college and you will receive your stipend as 12 monthly payments each year.
