Development Scholarship at Charles University 2024

With a generous donation from Charles University and the Czech Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sports, respectively, the Charles University Faculty of Social Sciences is the one immediately offering and managing this scholarship. The award is meant for students from developing nations as well as nations undergoing political or economic change.

Eligibility for Development Scholarship at Charles University:

• Students enrolled in one of the Faculty's fee-based study programs throughout the first two or three years of their master's or bachelor's degree programs are eligible to receive the scholarship. This implies that new applicants to any of our fee-based programs or current students in their first or second year of a bachelor's or master's degree may apply.
• Applicants must be from developing nations or nations undergoing political and economic change, and they must specify in their application what financial support they require.

Value of the Scholarship:

Selected students get a one-time lump sum payment of around CZK 75,000 (almost EUR 3,000) as part of the scholarship program, which helps them with living expenses. The scholarship does not include a waiver of the tuition cost.
