Overview

Purpose:

The main purpose of the Prize is to reward the best performance in a research project by a student enrolled in a Bachelor of Arts (Honours), Postgraduate Diploma in Arts or a Master of Arts in English.

Eligibility for the David Wright Prize in English:

  • The Prize will be awarded annually to the full-time student who achieved the highest mark in a research project, dissertation, or thesis undertaken for a Bachelor of Arts (Honours), Postgraduate Diploma in Arts, or a Master of Arts, in English. 
  • As a minimum standard, the student should have achieved an A- grade. 

Value of the Prize:

The value of the David Wright Prize in English at the University of Auckland will be $500.
