The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) is offering the DAAD Graduate School Scholarship Programme (GSSP) to international students from developing & emerging countries to pursue Ph.D. programs in Germany.

Eligibility for the DAAD Graduate School Scholarship Programme (GSSP) in Germany:

Applicants must:

  • Be highly qualified international university graduates from developing or emerging countries.
  • Apply for doctoral studies in structured doctoral programs at selected German universities or non-university research institutions in cooperation with German universities.
  • Meet any additional admission and academic requirements set by the hosting doctoral program.

Structured doctoral programs of outstanding quality can receive funding for up to four DAAD-funded doctoral scholarships within two years.

Application Process:

  • Phase 2: International graduates apply for individual DAAD scholarships through the selected doctoral programs.
