Cyber Scholars Program

Eligibility:

• The Cyber Scholars Program is open to incoming first-year, transfer, and current students of all genders and backgrounds who plan to major in computer engineering, computer science, or information systems, with an interest in cybersecurity.
• Applicants must have at least a 3.25 GPA.

Application Process:

• Applicants must apply by January 15 for first-year priority or March 1 for transfer students (Fall enrollment only).
• It is recommended to submit applications by the Early Action or Priority deadline for UMBC admission.

Value/Benefit:

• The program offers up to $5,000 - $15,000 per academic year for in-state students and $10,000 - $22,000 per academic year for out-of-state students.
• Scholarships are renewable for up to four years, covering a significant portion of the cost of attendance. 
• Scholars also benefit from mentorship, specialized cybersecurity courses, and priority housing in the CWIT Living Learning Community.
