Cst. Robb Costello Scholarship at Holland College 2026

Introduction:

The Cst. Robb Costello Scholarship was established in memory of Robb Costello, a dedicated police officer who served with the Fredericton Police Force for 20 years. He was a mature student when he attended the Atlantic Police Academy and strongly supported the use of de-escalation techniques in policing. The scholarship honors his legacy by supporting future police officers who demonstrate an understanding of the importance of de-escalation and conflict resolution.

Eligibility requirement for Cst. Robb Costello Scholarship at Holland College:

• Be enrolled in the Police Science (Cadet) program at the Atlantic Police Academy.
• Submit a 500–1000 word essay on: "The Importance of De-escalation Techniques in Policing."
• Meet any scholarship application requirements established by Holland College.

Value of the scholarship:

A CAD 1,750 is awarded to support a full-time student

Application Process:

• Apply for admission and enroll in the Police Science (Cadet) program.
• Complete the scholarship application.
• Answer the supplemental question:Have you been out of high school for four years or longer?
• Submit a 500–1000 word essay discussing the importance of de-escalation techniques in policing.
