Eligibility for the CSIRO Data61 Scholarship program 2026:
Applicants must:
- Hold or expect to complete a first-class honours (H1) bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant research area.
- Have applied for admission to a PhD program at an Australian university or have completed less than 12 months of PhD study at an Australian university at the time the scholarship starts.
- Have a university supervisor who is willing and able to supervise you.
- Not already holding a PhD degree.
- Be ready to commence within the advertised time frame for the scholarship.
- Be a domestic or international student either living in Australia or overseas.
Value of CSIRO Data61 Scholarship program 2026:
- Living stipend:
- AU$42,000 per year for the first two years
- AU$44,000 in the third year
- Learning & development fund: Up to AU$5,000 over the scholarship term
- Co-supervised research: Work with both Data61 researchers and your university supervisors.
