Overview

A female undergraduate engineering student in her first or second year will receive recognition and support from the CQUniCares Downer Scholarship.

Eligibility for CQUniCares Downer Scholarship:

  • In Term 1, 2026, the student must be enrolled or plan to enroll at CQUniversity.
  • The student should be a female
  • The applicant must be enrolled in one of the following courses in their first or second academic year.
    • Associate Degree of Engineering 
    • Bachelor of Construction Management (Honours) 
    • Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) 
    • Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) and Diploma of Professional Practice (Co-op Engineering) 
    • Bachelor of Engineering Technology 
    • Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) (Civil Construction) and Diploma of Construction Management
  • The candidate must be enrolled and have at least 12 credit points of coursework every semester.
  • The student must be enrolled in Term 1, 2026, at the Census Date.

It is expected of the winner of this scholarship from Downer that they will complete work experience and job opportunities with them. For the period of their scholarship, the winner will thus not be qualified to be considered for any subsequent CQUniversity donor-funded scholarships.
