Coaching Scholarships Programme at Heriot-Watt University 2023/24

Coaching Scholarships Programme at Heriot-Watt University position is open for a student coach, and the recipient of the coaching scholarship will have different duties according to what the Sports Union club needs. The beneficiary will go through an onboarding process in Oriam as well as the Sports Union. It is anticipated that the recipient of the coaching scholarship will begin work in August 2023 to provide time for a thorough orientation, training, and preparation for the September-beginning academic year. To provide coaching and recruitment services for one of the Sports Clubs, the grantee will primarily work inside the Oriam Performance Department and collaborate closely with the Sports Union.

Eligibility for Coaching Scholarships Programme at Heriot-Watt University:

• The applicant must pursue a master's degree at Heriot-Watt University.
• The candidate must have a Level 2 Coaching certification or its equivalent; noteworthy professional or international playing experience will also be taken into account.
• The applicant must have an IELTS score of 6.5 (or above) in English language proficiency.
• Any sport offered by the Heriot-Watt Sports Union is open for applications although the following sports are ones for which the university would especially appreciate applications: Volleyball and Basketball

Application Process:

Submitting a written application is the first step in the application process. Depending on where each applicant lives, candidates who make it past the first round will be asked for an interview, which may take place in person at Oriam or virtually via Microsoft Teams. Applications must be submitted by July 31st, although rewards may be given out earlier, so submit your application as soon as you can.
