Overview

Several Clinical Placement Bursaries for Nursing and Midwifery will be available from UniSQ in Semester 3 of 2023 to assist students pursuing clinical placements in rural or distant locations that are separate from their primary residence, as well as regional students pursuing placements in big metropolitan hospitals.

Eligibility for Clinical Placement Bursary for Nursing and Midwifery:

  • The student should be classified as a domestic or an international student
  • The applicant must be enrolled at UniSQ in the Bachelor of Nursing or Bachelor of Midwifery programs. At the bursary deadline, the applicant must have completed at least 8 courses in the Bachelor of Nursing (BNUR) or 4 courses in the Bachelor of Midwifery (BMID) program, or hold equivalent exemptions.
  • The student needs to be registered in a course where participation in a clinical placement is required; and
  • The applicant must have been assigned to a clinical placement before the bursary deadline for the application study session (Semester 3 2023)
  • The applicant must be completing a clinical placement more than 100 kilometers from either their study term address or primary place of living.
  • Throughout their degree program, the student should not have already received two (2) Clinical Placement Bursaries (additional bursaries may be provided in rare circumstances).
  • The applicant must need finances.

Bachelor of Nursing or Bachelor of Midwifery programs

Value of the scholarship:

The value of the Scholarship is up to 500 AUD
