Civil Engineering Fund at Queen's University Belfast
The Civil Engineering Fund, established in 1980 from external income generated through research and related short courses, supports scholarships for outstanding undergraduate MEng students who demonstrate academic excellence.
Eligibility Criteria of Civil Engineering Fund:
Awarded to a student commencing an MEng degree in Civil or Structural Engineering who demonstrates strong academic merit and potential in the field.
Application Process: Scholarship selection is primarily based on academic performance at school (A levels or equivalent), with an interview considered optionally.
Award: GBP 1,000 per year.
Note: The scholarship is tenable for up to four years and is renewed annually based on academic performance. Recipients must maintain a minimum overall weighted average of 65% at the end of each stage; failure to do so will result in termination of the scholarship, though previously awarded funds will not need to be repaid.
