Overview

Massey University invites high-achieving, excellent Chinese students to apply for Ph.D. study in New Zealand with scholarship support from the China Scholarships Council (CSC) and the University. Our collaboration is designed to foster research cooperation between Massey University and Chinese universities by supporting doctoral candidates to undertake original research.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Applicants must be Chinese nationals with a strong academic record.
  • Applicants must hold a Master's degree (or equivalent) before starting the PhD.
  • Applicants must submit a research proposal aligned with Massey University-China collaboration.
  • Applicants must not have previously received a CSC-Massey University PhD scholarship.
  • Applicants must be committed to conducting original research.
  • Applicants must apply through both Massey University and CSC.
  • Applicants must be able to travel to New Zealand and reside there for the duration of the PhD.
