Eligibility Criteria for China Postgraduate Chancellor's Scholarship at the University of Birmingham 2025:

  • Applicants must be classified as Chinese nationals or domiciled in China.
  • Applicants must have received and accepted an offer for a full-time postgraduate taught master’s program starting September 2025.
  • Applicants must meet the academic conditions of their offer.
  • Applicants from ‘985’ universities must have a minimum of 75% overall.
  • Applicants from ‘211’ universities must have a minimum of 80% overall.
  • Applicants must have a bachelor's degree from a university in the China ‘985’ project or ‘211’ project, with the following minimum average scores:
    • ‘985’ universities: minimum 75%
    • ‘211’ universities: minimum 80%
  • Applicants must be classified by the university as an overseas fee payer for tuition fee purposes and have sufficient funds to cover the remaining tuition fees.
  • Applicants must have sufficient funds to cover the full cost of living at the University of Birmingham, plus any visa/travel expenses associated with studying in the UK.
