Charles and Helen Ford Endowed Scholarship at Lewis University 2025

Lewis University offers the Charles and Helen Ford Endowed Scholarship to a child, grandchild, great-grandchild of a current, retired or deceased sworn law enforcement agent.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Applicants must be a child, grandchild, great-grandchild of a current, retired or deceased sworn law enforcement agent in Federal/State/Local levels who is in good standing in the career field.
• Applicant must be a full-time bachelor degree-seeking student (incoming freshman, transfer student or current Lewis undergrad).
• Applicants must maintain a GPA of 3.0 for renewal of the scholarship.
• Applicants must exhibit good academic standing.
• Applicants majoring in  Justice, Law and Public Safety are preferred.

Application Process:

• The applicants must apply online for the scholarship.
• Interested candidates must submit the following documents:
  • A 500-600 word essay on education, career and professional goals.
  • Two letters of recommendation, one from a former or current instructor and another from a non-family member.

Value of the Scholarship:

• Selected candidates are awarded a scholarship of USD 3,500.
