Eligibility Criteria for Chancellor’s Research Fellowships:

Applicants must:

Have a PhD (or equivalent research doctorate) completed within the last 5 years.
Be an early-career researcher with a strong academic track record relative to opportunity.
Demonstrate the potential to lead high-quality research and contribute to UTS research strengths.
Nominate and secure support from a UTS faculty/sponsor before submitting a full application.

Value of Chancellor’s Research Fellowships:

The Fellowship offers:

A fixed-term, four-year research-focused appointment
Academic starting salary from Level B, Step 2 ($129,760 plus 17 percent employer-provided superannuation contribution)
Research project funding of up to AUD $50,000
Access to the International Research Development Scheme
Early Career Researcher development and support
“Enhancing Teaching” or an alternative, subject to approval, during the Fellowship term.
