CGC Engineering Science Scholarship at Southern Cross University 2026

Introduction: 

CGC Civil Geotechnical Consultants, Australia’s first certified engineering social enterprise, will fund one new scholarship for Engineering and/or Science students each year which will be paid to the recipient over two years of study.

Eligibility requirement CGC Engineering Science Scholarship at Southern Cross University:

• Be enrolled (full-time or part-time) in any Science or Engineering degree with Southern Cross University.
• Demonstrate a form of disadvantage under the following: career responsibilities, financial hardship, Indigenous Australians, Long-term medical condition/disability or ongoing effects of abuse and/or sole-parent responsibilities.
• Should have personal introductory statement (100–200 words) which includes why they are applying for the scholarship, how it would benefit them and what they hope to achieve in the future through the completion of their degree. 

Value of the scholarship:

A AUD 10,000 Paid as AUD 5,000 Per Year for Two Years to support a full-time student

Application Process:

• Applicants must complete the general scholarship application and submit a 100–200 word introductory statement outlining their motivation for applying and future goals.
• Applications are assessed based on eligibility, demonstrated hardship, and commitment to the Northern Rivers region.
• Selected applicants are awarded a scholarship based on committee review of responses and supporting information.

NOTE:

• Preference will be given to Civil Engineering students who also meet the other criteria, however other Engineering and Science students are still encouraged to apply. 
• Students that are interested in pursuing Geotechnical Engineering, Geology (or similar) as a branch of Civil Engineering post-graduation will be preferred.
