CFUW Vernon Awards at Okanagan College 2026:

The Canadian Federation of University Women (CFUW) Vernon Awards support Okanagan College students from the North Okanagan region who demonstrate financial need, academic achievement, and community involvement while continuing their post-secondary studies.

Eligibility Criteria for the CFUW Vernon Awards at Okanagan College 2026:

• Applicant must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
• Applicant must be a resident of the North Okanagan region.
• Applicant must have completed a minimum of 24 credits of full-time study in a university studies or degree programme at Okanagan College’s Vernon Campus, or at the Kelowna Campus if the programme is unavailable at Vernon.
• Applicant must be proceeding to a post-secondary institution in September for a subsequent year of full-time study.
• Applicant must be registered in a minimum of 9 credits (60% course load) or 6 credits (40% course load) for students with permanent disabilities.
• Applicant must demonstrate academic achievement and financial need, with emphasis on financial need.
• Applicant must demonstrate community involvement.
• Applicant may receive preference if they are a mature female student. Mature students are at least 19 years old and have been out of full-time secondary school for at least one year before commencing their programme.
• Applicant must provide proof of registration at their post-secondary institution if they are not attending Okanagan College.

• Submit the online application through myOkanagan.
• Apply through the Vernon Current/Returning Application.
• Provide a reference letter confirming community service.
• Financial Awards selects the recipient(s).

Value of the Award:

• Two awards of CAD 1,500 each are awarded to recipients.
