Overview

The Award seeks to encourage the next generation of writers and facilitate the translation of their works into the languages of the CEI member nations.

Eligibility for CEI Fellowship for Writers, 2025:

  • The fellowship is open to writers from all genres.
  • Applicants of the CEI Fellowship for Writers in Residence, 2025 should be from the CEI Member States.
  • Applicants must not be over 40 years old.

Documents required:

  • A biography of the applicant in a maximum of 1800 characters in English.
  • Copy of a valid ID or passport indicating date, place of birth, and citizenship.
  • A bibliography of the applicant in at most 3600 characters in English.
  • A project description that will be undertaken during the 3 months in (2000 – 4500 characters).
  • One original signed letter of recommendation of 1800 characters in English.

Value of CEI Fellowship for Writers, 2025:

Students will receive a cash prize (5,000 EUR) to cover the full translation of the submitted work.

Collateral includes either: Immovable property – a house or a flat or land (or) liquid security – an FD, or LIC or shares or bonds.
