- Applicant must be Scottish by birth.
- Candidate must be of Scottish extraction meaning have at least one parent born in Scotland.
- Applicant must have received three full years of secondary and higher education in Scotland.
- At the time of application, candidates must have been accepted on a Postgraduate Degree programme leading to a qualification at taught Masters level.
