Eligibility Criteria for the Boyd Family Human Service Work Award at Okanagan College 2026:

  • Applicant must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or protected person.
  • Applicant must have completed at least one year of study (minimum 24 credits) in one of the following diploma programmes:
    • Human Service Work
    • Tourism Management
    • Business Administration with a Specialty in Tourism and Hospitality
    • Communications, Culture and Journalism Studies
  • Applicant must be returning to the Kelowna Campus for the following semester to continue full-time study.
  • Applicant must be registered in a minimum of 9 credits (60% course load) or 6 credits (40% course load if they have a permanent disability).
  • Applicant must demonstrate academic achievement and financial need, with equal emphasis on both.
  • Applicant must be in good standing.
  • Applicant must be enrolled in the Human Service Work Diploma programme to receive preference.
