Eligibility Criteria for Benjamin A Gilman International Scholarship:

  • Applicants must be citizens of the United States.
  • Applicants must be undergraduate students in good academic standing at an accredited U.S. college or university.
  • Applicants must be receiving a Federal Pell Grant or be able to prove eligibility for one during their study abroad term.
  • Applicants must be applying to or already accepted into a credit-bearing study abroad program, internship, or virtual international program.
  • Applicants must participate in programs located in destinations with a U.S. Department of State Travel Advisory Level 1 or 2.

Value of Benjamin A Gilman International Scholarship:

Awards of up to $5,000 are provided to support study abroad or international internship costs.
