Benjamin A Gilman International Scholarship at Robert Gordon University 2024

Overview:

This program funds approximately 40,000 scholars annually to travel to more than 150 countries. 

Eligibility for the Benjamin A Gilman International Scholarship:

• Applicants must be citizens of the United States.
• Candidates must be undergraduate students in good standing at an accredited institution of higher education in the United States (including two- and four-year institutions).
• Students should be receiving a Federal Pell Grant at the time of application, or provide documentation that they will receive one during the duration of their study abroad program or internship.
• Candidates may be applying for or have been admitted to a credit-bearing study abroad or internship program, as well as a virtual foreign program. Proof of program acceptance is required before award disbursement.
• Applicants must be applying for credit-bearing study abroad programs in a country or area with an overall Travel Advisory Level 1 or 2, according to the U.S. Department of State’s Travel Advisory System.

Value of the Scholarship:

Successful applicants of the Benjamin A Gilman International Scholarship will receive an award of up to $5,000.

Application: There is no interview during the selection process, however, applicants must submit a personal statement.
