The BC Electrical Association Award supports students who have completed the Electrician Pre-Apprenticeship programme at Okanagan College and intend to continue their training towards an electrical apprenticeship certification. The award recognises academic achievement and financial need.

Eligibility Criteria for the BC Electrical Association Award (Electrician Pre-Apprenticeship) at Okanagan College 2026:

  • Applicant must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
  • Applicant must have completed full-time study in the Electrician Pre-Apprenticeship programme at any Okanagan College campus offering the programme on a rotational basis.
  • Applicant must have completed the programme with a minimum 60% course load, or 40% course load for students with permanent disabilities.
  • Applicant must return within 18 months for apprenticeship technical training or certification, primarily at Level II.
  • Applicant must demonstrate academic achievement and financial need.
