Overview

Bayesian approaches are presented to solve the challenges with classical designs related to the number of blocks, sample size, and multi-stratum structures, as well as the dependence on an assumed statistical model. In order to control type I error around the desired level, increase power, and create new, more cost-effective Bayesian A- or D-optimal designs that can be used with split-plot designs and other multi-stratum structures, this project will examine the literature currently available on Bayesian supersaturated D-optimal designs.

Eligibility criteria:

  • Applicants must have a Master of Science or Engineering with a research component (thesis). 
  • Applicants must have a Bachelor (Hons) of Science or Engineering.
  • Applicants must have excellent knowledge of programming in R.
