Barrington Burke Scholarship at Mohawk College:

The Jamaican Heritage Award provides financial support to a Mohawk College student from Jamaica or of Jamaican heritage who currently resides in Hamilton or the surrounding area. Preference is given to students involved in community activities or volunteer work.

Eligibility requirements for the Barrington Burke Scholarship at Mohawk College:

• The scholarship is open to students in any faculty, school, program, or year of study.
• The applicants must be from Jamaica or from Jamaican heritage.
• The applicants must currently reside in Hamilton or the surrounding area.
• The preference is given to students with community involvement or volunteer experience.

Application Process:

• This is a general award; the students can apply through the Mohawk College Scholarships and Bursaries Application.
• The application must include a letter confirming Jamaican citizenship or ancestral connection to Jamaica.

Value of the Scholarship:

• A CAD 1,000 is awarded to support a full-time student at Mohawk University.
