BA International Honours Scholarship at the University of St. Andrews

The BA International Honours Scholarship is offered to incoming first-year students enrolling in the Bachelor of Arts International Honours Programme at St Andrews, in partnership with the College of William & Mary. The Selection Committee looks for academically outstanding and talented candidates. Recipients are also expected to take on an ambassadorial role by representing the University at certain events and contributing to University publications.

Eligibility Criteria of BA International Honours Scholarship:

1. The applicants are chosen based on their academic excellence and their clear interest in the distinctive structure of the joint degree program.
2. The successful applicants are expected to serve in an ambassadorial capacity, representing the university at events and in official publications.

Application Process: 

1. The applicants can apply for this scholarship through the BA International Honours Scholarship option listed in the Scholarships and Funding catalogue within the My Application portal.
2. After the applicants apply to a new BA International Honours programme starting in 2026, they will receive login details for the My Application portal. They must allow at least two working days for the processing and issuance of these login credentials before applying for the scholarship.

Award: An award of between USD 6,000 - USD 12,000 towards tuition fees.

Note:

1. The applicants do not need to wait for an offer of admission from the University of St Andrews before applying for the scholarship.
2. The applicants must submit a motivation statement of up to 250 words, outlining their reasons for applying, how they expect to benefit from the scholarship, and how they plan to contribute to the dual-degree community at both the University of St Andrews and the College of William & Mary.
