Be an international student studying at UBC on a Canadian study permit (student visa).
Demonstrate exceptional academic achievement and intellectual potential.
Show significant extracurricular involvement and community engagement.
Not be nominated for a need-and-merit-based International Scholars award.
Apply for admission to UBC by the university's admissions deadline.

Value of International Major Entrance Scholarship:

For the 2026–2027 academic year, IMES awards are valued at CAD $10,000–$25,000 per year.
