Australian Library and Information Association Scholarship

The national professional association representing the Australian library and information services industry is called the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA). Through leadership, advocacy, and reciprocal professional support, we aim to strengthen the profession by developing, promoting, and providing the country with high-quality library and information services. This scholarship helps students enrolled in the School of Information Studies who are Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander, or South Sea Islander to obtain credentials in library and information science that are accredited by ALIA.

Eligibility for Australian Library and Information Association Scholarship:

• Applicant must be a Commencing Student or a Continuing Student
• Applicant must be Australian/New Zealand citizen or Australian permanent resident who has applied/enrolled at the university. Both on-campus and online students are eligible.
• Applicant must be an international student who is classified as an international student in Australia and holds an offer or is already enrolled at the university. 
• ALIA undergraduate or graduate program that is accredited.
• For consideration, the applicant must identify as an Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander, or South Sea Islander.
• The applicant must explain in the Additional Information free text box why they are enrolled in the course and how they think the scholarship will help them further their education.

• Bachelor of Information Studies (with specializations)
• Graduate Certificate in Information Studies
• Master of Information Studies (with specializations)
• Master of Education (Teacher Librarianship)
