Audrey McLaughlin Award in Social Work

Introduction:

The Audrey McLaughlin Award in Social Work supports female Yukon University students in the Social Work program who demonstrate community involvement and a commitment to public service.

Eligibility criteria of the Audrey McLaughlin Award in Social Work:

• Applicants must have resided in the Yukon for at least two years as of the award application date.
• Applicants must be enrolled full-time in Yukon University's Social Work program.
• Applicants must be active community volunteers.
• Applicants must submit a typed essay (maximum two pages) describing their volunteer roles and responsibilities and how their volunteer experience and education will support their career goals. 

Application process for Audrey McLaughlin Award in Social Work: 

• Applicants must complete the Student Financial Award Application Form.
• Applicants must submit the required typed essay and indicate how long they have lived in the Yukon as of the award application date.
• Applicants must submit their application by January 31, 2027.

Award: CAD 500 

Note: Preference will be given to applicants returning to education after an absence of at least one year, followed by those whose community service and career goals reflect Audrey McLaughlin's commitment to democracy and public service.
