Eligibility for the Anne Shannon Scholarship:

Applicants must:

Have completed one year of full-time study (120 points) in a Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Science (Technology) at the University of Waikato
Be enrolled full-time in their second year of the same degree
Be majoring in Ecology & Biodiversity and/or Molecular & Cellular Biology
Have achieved at least a B average in their first year
Be enrolled in at least 60 points of BIOEBxxx and/or BIOMOxxx papers
Be eligible for domestic fees status (NZ citizen, resident, or eligible Australian resident).

Value of the Anne Shannon Scholarship:

The scholarship provides $5,000, paid in two installments:

$2,500 after acceptance
$2,500 after the B Trimester withdrawal date.
