Purpose
The Scholarship provides financial support for students studying towards their second year of a Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Science (Technology) majoring in Ecology and Biodiversity and/or Molecular Cellular Biology at the University of Waikato.
Eligibility for the Anne Shannon Scholarship:
- Applicant must have completed one year of full-time study (a full-time academic year comprises 120-points) in a Bachelor of Science or a Bachelor of Science (Technology) at the University of Waikato.
- Should be currently be enrolled full-time (a full-time academic year comprises 120-points) in their second year of study towards a Bachelor of Science or a Bachelor of Science (Technology).
- Candidate must be majoring in Ecology & Biodiversity and/or Molecular Cellular Biology.
- Should have achieved at least a B average in their first year of full-time study.

Benefits:
The Scholarship has a value of $5,000 and will be paid in two equal instalments:
- $2,500 will be paid directly to the recipient after the acceptance of the scholarship.
- $2.500 will be paid to the recipient after the withdrawal date of B Trimester in the year of award.
