The scholarship aims to support eligible students from SC/ST/SCC communities of Tamil Nadu to pursue higher education (Master’s, PhD, Post-doctoral research) in reputed foreign universities by providing financial assistance.

Eligibility Criteria for Annal Ambedkar Overseas Higher Education Scholarship Scheme 2026:

Applicants must:

Belong to SC, ST, or SCC community (valid Community Certificate required).
Hold an admission offer from a QS top-1000-ranked foreign university.
Be under 35 years (PG) or 40 years (Ph.D.) as of 1st April of the selection year.
Have family income not exceeding Rs. 8 lakhs (Slab 1) or Rs. 8–12 lakhs (Slab 2).
Not have previously received this scholarship.

Value of Annal Ambedkar Overseas Higher Education Scholarship Scheme 2026:

Slab 1 (family income up to Rs. 8 lakhs) — up to Rs. 36 lakhs overall Slab 2 (family income Rs. 8–12 lakhs) — up to Rs. 24 lakhs overall
Covers:
- Tuition fees
- Living expenses
- Visa fees
- Medical insurance
- Economy-class airfare (to and from)
- Equipment allowance
- Applicable taxes
