This prize is offered to a high-achieving student or students in a Master of Science (Chemistry) or Bachelor of Science (Honours) research project in Chemistry.

Eligibility Criteria for the Andrew Kirby Award for Research Excellence at University of Melbourne 2026:

Applicants must be enrolled in the Bachelor of Science (Honours) or Master of Science (Chemistry).
Applicants must be undertaking a research project in Chemistry.
Applicants must have completed research subjects in the relevant Chemistry program.
Applicants must achieve the highest weighted average mark across the research subjects to be selected.
