Overview

Ambedkar International Scholarship is provided by the Social Justice & Empowerment Department (Rajasthan) for students belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC) category who want to pursue PhD studies abroad in certain specified fields.

Eligibility Criteria for the Ambedkar International Scholarship:

  • Applicants must be from the Scheduled Caste (SC) category, and be a domicile of Rajasthan.
  • Applicants must be have completed a postgraduate degree (Master’s) from a recognized university with at least 55% marks.
  • The applicant must have secured admission to a Ph.D. program in a foreign university in one of the following subjects:
    • Social Science
    • Public Administration
    • Law
    • Economics
    • Political Science, or 
    • Anthropology
  • Applicants must be below 35 years of age at the time of application.
  • The total annual family income of the applicant should not exceed ₹6 lakh from all sources.

Applicants must apply for the scholarship, to be eligible to receive the benefits.

Value of the Ambedkar International Scholarship:

The successful applicants will receive a financial assistance of up to ₹ 25 lakh (Indian rupees) for overseas PhD studies.
