Alumni Progression Scholarship at Newcastle University 2025

Eligibility criteria for Alumni Progression Scholarship at Newcastle University:

• The applicant must accept an offer and enroll in a postgraduate degree-granting program at Newcastle University.
• The candidate needs to be a Newcastle University alum. In other words, they have to be eligible (or soon be eligible) for a bachelor's or master's degree.
• The applicant must be enrolled in a degree-granting postgraduate course at Newcastle University and possess an offer.
• The candidate ought to be a Newcastle University alum. In other words, they have to be eligible (or soon be eligible) for a bachelor's or master's degree.
• The candidate must cover all or a portion of the course's tuition costs on their own.

Non-Eligible programs:

• Undergraduate, Diploma, or certificate courses that are below level 7, which are sub-degree courses
• Staff candidates
• The following courses are part of professional training programs:
• Architecture, MArch
• Architectural Practice and Management, PGDip
• Conscious Sedation in Dentistry PGCert
• Endodontics MClinDent 
• Prosthodontics MClinDent 
• Periodontics MClinDent  

Courses that are not eligible for the Alumni Progression Scholarship Funding:

1. The funding for the Alumni Progression Scholarship is not available for any program of study that does not result in a degree. Pre-sessional English language programs, foundational English language programs, pre-masters programs, sporadic study programs, exchange programs, and any ongoing professional development program fall under this category.
2. The discount does not apply to:

• Diploma or certificate courses that are below level 7, which are sub-degree courses
• Staff candidate

• Conscious Sedation in Dentistry PGCert
• Endodontics MClinDent

Value of the scholarship:

• A£1,000 Alumni Progression Scholarship for eligible International and UK Newcastle University alumni (not available for students receiving the 20% Alumni Progression Discount)
• A 20% Alumni Progression Discount for eligible UK Newcastle University alumni from underrepresented backgrounds*

Application Process:

No separate application is required. Instead, the applicant needs to submit the following information through the Apply to Newcastle Portal of the university.

• Describe their past and present academic work at the university.
• If they possess a copy of their prior university qualification, please attach it.
• In addition, they ought to make an effort to make sure that their postgraduate application is handled with their former student number (you are requested to supply this number when you apply).
