Overview

The University of Kent in the United Kingdom (UK) is offering an Alumni Postgraduate Research Scholarship for incoming postgraduate research students who have a degree from the University of Kent. The University is providing fully-funded awards for qualified students enrolled in the Ph.D. program.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • The applicant may be a resident of any nation.
  • The applicant may hold a Bachelor's degree or Master's degree from the University of Kent.
  • The applicant must have an unconditional offer for a full-time or part-time PhD research degree at the university for the academic year 2025-26.
  • The applicant must demonstrate that they have contributed to the wider University community.
  • The applicant must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • The applicant must stand in superior academic stead.

Application Process:

  • Eligible applicants will be able to apply through their KentVision portal.
  • The applicants must submit the following documents:
    • Most recent CV,
    • A supporting statement of no more than two A4 pages.
    • An academic reference in support of the project.
  • Selected candidates must act as 'ambassadors' for both the University and their subjects. 

Value of the Scholarship:

  •  The selected candidates are awarded the following benefits:
    • Tuition fees at the home rate of £5,006 for 2025/26.
    • Maintenance grant at the same rate as the UK Research Councils of £20,780 for 2025/26.
