The Alumni Association Citizenship Award supports students continuing their studies at Okanagan College who demonstrate a strong commitment to social responsibility, volunteerism, campus engagement, or community service. Eligibility Criteria for the Alumni Association Citizenship Award at Okanagan College 2026:
- Applicant must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
- Applicant must be an alumnus or the son or daughter of an alumnus of Okanagan College or OUC.
- Applicant must be enrolled full-time in the second year of any degree or diploma programme at any Okanagan College campus.
- Applicant must have completed a minimum of 24 credits.
- Applicant must demonstrate social responsibility through volunteerism, campus engagement, and/or commitment to community service.
- Applicant must demonstrate academic achievement, financial need, and community service, with emphasis on community service.
- Applicant must be in good academic standing.
- For the purposes of the Okanagan College Alumni Association, an alumnus is a person who has received a certificate, apprenticeship, diploma, or degree from Okanagan College, OUC, or the former Okanagan College; completed 30 or more credits of a programme at OC or OUC; or completed a micro-credential programme at Okanagan College.
Application Process:
- Submit the All Campus Current/Returning Application online through myOkanagan.
- Recipients are selected by the OC-Wide and Kelowna Awards Selection Committee.
- Applicants qualifying as alumni under the OCAA bylaws may provide the applicable alumni information as part of their application.
